United Stations Radio Network Inc. is partnering with leading digital radio solutions company Radionomy to create online exposure and revenue for their FM syndicated radio shows. For decades United Stations has been involved in the creation and syndication of some of radio's most popular shows and built the largest independently owned and operated radio network in America.
United Stations is now focused on digital opportunities for their content and partners and have chosen the Radionomy platform to build 24/7 online streams of its archived shows; including custom players available for their websites, mobile, and social networks. Radionomy will also distribution the streams to the top radio directories online.
First out of the digital gate is Lou Brutus’ HardDriveXL. Lou’s shows are heard in 120 radio markets nationwide. The 24/7 digital stream will feature the best of shows and recent archives which allows the producers to further monetize content that would otherwise be shelved.
In addition, the digital stream will help find new audiences that might be outside of the markets and time slots covered by syndication. The next station/stream to be created by the United Stations / Radionomy match up will be Nights with Alice Cooper, a top-rated syndicated show featuring the iconic rock star Alice Cooper.
“We are thrilled to be working with United Stations and the amazing radio content they have been creating for decades. Our intention is to find new audiences and expand the reach of their content, online. By creating these 24/7 streams, United Station’s content will be available worldwide on the web and mobile devices. We believe that online audiences, just like FM listeners, want to lean back and have the best curators share their favorite tracks and provide great entertainment, said Thierry Ascarez, VP of Business Development for Radionomy.”
“We are excited to have a digital partner that understands our desire to deliver our content well beyond the traditional channels. Greater audience reach equals better opportunities for our marketing partners, and of course we want the great work of our on- air talent and our producers showcased to a wider audience as well. Radionomy’s solution is what we’ve been looking for to open up exciting new ways to bring what we do to consumers," said Brian Pollina, United Stations' Manager, Digital Assets & Midwest Sales.
